Job Role: Build Supervisor

The Build Supervisor oversees and leads a team of artists in the creation of high-quality assets for feature films. Effective communication with other departments is crucial to identify efficient methods for asset creation, ensuring they meet production requirements and are ready for the VFX pipeline.

Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring the team through technical and creative challenges, developing pipeline processes to improve operational efficiency, and implementing training schemes to enhance team skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in high-end feature film VFX production.
  • Proven track record of supervising teams of build artists.
  • Broad knowledge of build-discipline techniques, including modeling, texturing, and look development.
  • Extensive experience using 3D software such as Maya, Mari, Zbrush, and Nuke.
  • Critical eye for detail and strong visual abilities.
  • Experience with rendering and communicating visual aspects to the team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality work.
