Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Peninsula Private Hospital. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including patient meals, special diets, and catering for events and functions.
  • Culinary Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality food service delivery.
  • Inventory Management: Manage food inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors, responding to feedback and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments, including nursing, administration, and facilities, to ensure seamless delivery of patient care and services.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery: Hold a current Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a commercial kitchen, with a strong background in food preparation and service.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide junior staff members.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to feedback and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
