About the Role:

The Commercial & Packaging Quality Manager is a critical role responsible for ensuring the quality and freshness of Ferrero products in Australia and New Zealand. This position plays a key part in protecting consumer safety and enhancing the overall consumer experience.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Quality Management: Develop and implement quality management strategies to maximize quality and freshness, and drive improvements in commercial logistics, trade, and consumer service.
  • Reporting and Monitoring: Manage monthly reporting on overall quality performance, monitor progress against targets for freshness, transit time, value chain stock, and complaints.
  • Shelf-Life Optimization: Act as the local point of reference for shelf-life optimization and harmonization, ensuring that Ferrero products meet the highest quality standards.
  • Supply Chain Quality: Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure quality in commercial logistics, including the management of stock, transportation, and storage.
  • Audits and Compliance: Plan and implement audits, and work with commercial copacking teams to ensure quality compliance in copacking activities.
  • Quality Projects: Manage the budget, operational call center, withdrawal/recall process, and other quality projects to ensure the highest level of quality and freshness.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the local quality team, develop their capabilities, and ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements:
  • Education: University degree in food science or a related field.
  • Experience: Relevant professional background in food FMCG, with experience in line quality control of high manual production.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and solutions-focused mindset, good interpersonal and influencing skills, ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and with cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership: Experience managing a team is required.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced MS Office skills, SAP is preferred.
