About the Opportunity

The NSW State Emergency Service is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join its team.

As the Cyber Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organisation's systems and data. You'll work within our Business Systems team to support our staff and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support our cyber security team to ensure that the information is accessible but protected from internal or external security threats and incidents.
  • Develop best practice policies, guidance material and business processes to enhance security.
  • Prepare assessments and reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:

  • You are enthusiastic about cyber security and have experience in developing best practice policies and guidelines.
  • You possess strong communication skills and can foster working relationships with stakeholders.
  • You are able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
