Medical Reception Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and engaging medical receptionist to join our team on a part-time or casual basis.

This role is perfect for someone who has a flexible approach with a 'can-do' attitude and the ability to cover annual leave and sick leave.

Daily Tasks:

  • Provide exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for patients, in person and over the phone.
  • Maintain confidentiality while managing patient records.
  • Process payments, Medicare, and third-party claims and reconciliations.
  • Effectively manage patient appointment types.
  • Perform general administration and daily office duties.
  • Carry out duties as required by doctors and the practice manager.

Requirements:

  • A professional, friendly, confident, and courteous manner.
  • A high work ethic and flexibility with work hours.
  • The ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritise.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • A high level of computer literacy.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work in a diverse team and independently.
  • A high level of attention to detail.

Previous medical reception experience would be an advantage, however not essential.

Enthusiasm, willingness, and ability to learn and retain information are also highly regarded.
