About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Officer to join our team at Sunwater. As a key member of our engineering drafting team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality traditional CAD and GIS engineering drafting services.

As a Senior Technical Officer, you will be responsible for delivering modelling and drafting support services for engineering design and investigation projects. This will involve optimising the development of accurate and effective digital models utilising rapidly evolving technologies.

You will collaborate closely with engineers and other stakeholders to produce reliable, cost-effective project concepts and designs. This will involve managing digitally based asset presentation and visualisation processes, as well as enabling the efficient dissemination of information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform checks and reviews of drafting outputs, including digital models and drawings produced by the team.
  • Formally sign output review documents where satisfied.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to produce reliable, cost-effective project concepts and designs.
  • Manage digitally based asset presentation and visualisation processes.
  • Enable the efficient dissemination of information.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 10 years' experience as a Technical Officer or Design Drafter. You will also need to hold an associate degree in Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution or recognised equivalent.

You will bring proven experience using AutoCAD and ArcGIS, as well as the ability to capture Digital Information data, manipulate and present in a 3D environment. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write and present quality reports and findings to senior leadership, are also essential.
