Oversee Product Curation and Sourcing for a Thriving Online Pet Store

We're seeking an experienced buyer to spearhead product selection, negotiation with suppliers, and inventory management for our specialty pet products. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about pets and has a knack for identifying innovative products that meet the unique needs of pet owners.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in buying or merchandising, preferably within the pet food or health sector. A solid understanding of e-commerce principles, including online retail platforms and digital marketing strategies, is essential. Strong analytical skills and effective communication are also required to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify top-notch products for specialty species, including food, health products, habitat solutions, and enrichment accessories.
  • Evaluate potential suppliers and manufacturers based on quality, pricing, reliability, and ethical production standards.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value and drive profitability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and analyze sales trends to forecast demand accurately.
  • Work closely with the inventory planning team to ensure timely product replenishment and avoid stockouts.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform product assortment decisions and optimize pricing strategies.
  • Build strong partnerships with current suppliers to ensure seamless communication and supply chain reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, consumer needs, and industry innovations in the pet care sector.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to understand market positioning and identify opportunities for growth.

What You'll Get in Return

Location
