Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cryptographic Security Specialist to support our network operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining assigned COMSEC account equipment and KeyMat, as well as supporting the full-time TIER II/III personnel as needed.

Daily Job Duties:
  • Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades utilizing the customer ticketing application (ServiceNow).
  • Create and maintain a COMSEC file plan in accordance with COMSEC policy, and an authorized COMSEC access list.
  • Ensure cryptographic equipment is keyed in accordance with the supporting key's effective and supersession dates.
  • Ensure TPI requirements are followed when handling Top Secret COMSEC material.
  • Establish a comprehensive COMSEC training program for all briefed individuals.
  • Implement standard network change requests and incident requests within standard timelines.
  • Maintain accountabilities for all COMSEC material issued to their subaccount.
  • Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and inventoried.
  • Prepare a written emergency plan detailing how COMSEC equipment should be handled in emergency situations; ensure COMSEC briefed personnel are properly trained on this document.
  • Process all transfer, destruction, & inventory documents in a timely manner; return paperwork to the program office.
  • Provide support to Tier II/III network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys, coordinate and install new equipment).
  • Report any known or suspected COMSEC incidents.
