Job Description

We are seeking a qualified teacher to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality learning programs. As a Distance Education Teacher, you will play a critical role in ensuring that students receive the best possible education.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering effective learning programs for students in allocated classes. They will also contribute to school objectives and planning, establish and maintain an orderly learning environment and deliver quality teaching and learning programs consistent with Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively with students, parents and colleagues and possess a strong commitment to student learning and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning programs for every student in allocated classes.
  • Contribute to school objectives and planning.
  • Establish and maintain an orderly learning environment.
  • Deliver quality teaching and learning programs consistent with Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
  • Maintain teaching competency and currency of knowledge.
  • Support students through interaction and behaviour management practices.
  • Provide for the physical, social, cultural and emotional wellbeing of students.
  • Assess students for developmental, feedback and reporting purposes.
  • Maintain student records and report on student performance.
  • Participate in curriculum development and evaluation.
