Program and Student Services Coordinator Job

Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing high-quality student support and advising to ensure students have the best possible study abroad experience. The PASS Coordinator will work collaboratively with the academic and internship teams, providing support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide high-quality student support and advising to ensure students have the best possible study abroad experience.
  2. Work collaboratively with the academic and internship teams, providing support as needed.
  3. Welcome students to the centre at the front desk; this could include carrying out welfare checks of students entering the centre.
  4. Secure appropriate guest speakers, excursions, and site visits with input from Internship and Academic Teams.
  5. Attend evening and weekend social events for student arrivals and departures; manage and participate in student orientation sessions.
  6. Build and maintain suppliers/contacts database; research and scope new venues for student events, build relationships with new and existing suppliers, and negotiate competitive pricing for program budgets.
  7. Act as a member of CEA CAPA's crisis management team on a rotational basis, providing 24/7 emergency support to all Sydney students.
  8. Welcome representatives from existing and prospective institutional partners to the CEA CAPA Sydney Program and arrange site visits as required.
  9. Implement student activities in the study center.
  10. Design and implement personal and professional development opportunities for students in Sydney.
  11. Manage program budgets, tracking spending and staying within set budget.
  12. Cross collaborate and assist in Academic and Internship activities when required.
  13. Other duties as requested by the Centre Director and Assistant Director of PASS.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's Degree.
  2. Excellent customer services skills and a strong interest and ability to work with people, particularly university students.
  3. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  4. A high degree of professionalism and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Excellent time and event management skills.
  6. A level of thoroughness, accuracy, and consistency in their work.
  7. Ability to work independently while also being a strong team member who is comfortable with supervision and support.
  8. Ability to manage effectively under pressure and handle difficult situations.
  9. Strong digital technology skills including high proficiency in Microsoft Office and a familiarity with databases.
  10. Experience or an aptitude for working with classroom presentation equipment.
  11. A flexible and adaptable personality and work style.
  12. A willingness to work outside of regular office hours at busy times of the year as well as when attending events or dealing with urgent student issues.
