We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. This is a unique opportunity to lead in delivering exceptional mental health care and contribute to advancing psychosis treatment approaches.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-standard clinical services to patients, offering clinical leadership and contributing to the team's efforts. They will also be involved in teaching medical students and trainees, and where appropriate, Nursing and Allied Health staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing high-quality clinical service and leadership
• Supervising Senior Medical Practitioners, Trainee Medical Officers, and Medical Students
• Participating in an after-hours on-call service as per a roster agreed with the Department Director
• Providing supervision to registrars, resident medical officers, and interns
About You:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, with appropriate Specialist Qualifications registered with the Medical Board of Australia (Psychiatry). They will also have a proven high standard of clinical practice in Psychiatry, professional integrity, leadership, and motivational skills. Experience supervising and teaching medical staff at undergraduate and postgraduate levels is highly desirable.
