Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Service Manager to provide leadership, practice development, and mentoring sessions to a team of support workers.
- Foster a culture of excellence in quality care provision through day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless integration and coordination of client care services.
- Lead and manage a team of Residential Support Workers, focusing on discipline, recruitment, training, and career development.
- Contribute high-level service input and advice to staff and stakeholders, maintaining exceptional standards of client care.
- Oversee and review systems and processes used in Client Services to enhance outcomes and support effectiveness for individuals with mental illness.
- Maintain an on-call component, potentially involving weekend and shift work as required.
Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- At least one year of experience leading a team or as a Senior Support Worker, demonstrating expertise in mentoring and coaching others.
- Ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in residential recovery and resilience-based models.
- Skills and experience working with individuals experiencing mental illness.
- Demonstrated capacity to relate to clients and other stakeholders with dignity and respect.
- Calm and sensitive approach when dealing with distressed individuals.
- Commitment to professional growth and willingness to participate in training as needed.
- Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office.
- Current Working With Children Clearance (WWCC) and NDIS worker screening clearance eligibility.
- A valid driver's license and reliable motor vehicle access.
