About This Opportunity

You will form a vital part of our end-to-end transport team for non-emergency patients, ensuring safe and efficient patient care. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will be a key link in the patient transport experience, improving overall satisfaction for patients, colleagues and the community.

In addition to primary patient transport duties, you will also be responsible for:

  • Providing medical transport and assistance at major events within the Adelaide region, under the guidance of a Paramedic
  • Maintaining equipment and vehicles in operational readiness
  • Maintaining comprehensive Electronic Health Records to ensure patient transport records are available for future reference
  • Carrying out patient care within allocated scope of practice and in accordance with RFDS policies, procedures and guidelines
About You

You are:

  • A customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills
  • A self-starter who is reliable, responsive and calm in stressful situations
  • Empathetic, flexible and adaptable

To be considered for this role, you require:

  • A minimum of Certificate IV in Healthcare (Ambulance) or equivalent
  • A full and valid drivers licence issued from an Australian state or territory

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum
