Job Summary:

As a Dry Receiving Supervisor at Costco Wholesale, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for supervising and directing inbound and outbound depot traffic, instructing truck drivers, and coordinating employee breaks and lunches. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in maintaining accurate records and ensuring the safety and security of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct inbound and outbound depot traffic, ensuring efficient and safe operations
• Instruct and assist truck drivers with queries and tasks
• Schedule and supervise daily activities of reporting employees, including breaks and lunches
• Monitor and maintain accurate records of depot procedures and operations
• Provide training, encouragement, and feedback to reporting employees
• Monitor productivity, safety, and ensure smooth flow of trucks and goods in and out of the depot
• Communicate with Buyers and Vendors as needed
• Set and release dock restraints and dock plates, and operate roll-up bay doors and trailer doors
• Verify discrepancies between goods ordered and received, and maintain records
• Ensure facility safety, security, cleanliness, and battery recharging

Requirements:

• Warehouse experience and physical fitness required
• Ability to work in split shifts, rotating roster, and Saturdays
• Versatility and willingness to work in different departments as needed
• Forklift license and intermediate MS Word and Excel skills required
• Knowledge of WH&S in everyday occupational situations
• Previous experience in supervisory role and ability to multitask
