Speech Therapist Role

We are seeking a Speech Therapist to join our team in Darwin and regional areas. As a Speech Therapist, you will work with individuals and groups to assess and manage communication and swallowing disorders.

The successful candidate will participate in multidisciplinary assessments, provide client support and training, and work with low and high tech Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ACC).

This is an opportunity for experienced practitioners and recent graduates alike, with tailored caseloads, supervision, and training available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing and managing clients with complex communication and swallowing disorders;
  • Participating in multidisciplinary assessments and providing client support and training;
  • Working with low and high tech ACC systems.

You will work in a variety of settings, including clinics, schools, and community centers. We offer flexible working arrangements, including the option to work from home for administrative tasks.

Requirements:
  • A degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for certified practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia;
  • A current Driver's Licence and Working with Children Check.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or experiences of trauma who have complex needs;
  • Experience conducting communication assessments, treatment planning, and intervention for children and adults with diverse presentations.
