Laboratory Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Manager to join our team at ALS in Orange, NSW. As a Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including staff management, financial management, and client relations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the laboratory operations, including staff supervision, quality control, and safety protocols.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
- Oversee the financial management of the laboratory, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Lead and motivate a team of laboratory technicians and scientists to achieve high-quality results and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in laboratory operations and staff management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Sound analytical skills, with the ability to review and approve laboratory results and respond to client queries.
- Strong technical ability, with experience in laboratory equipment, including fire assay, AAS, and ICP-AES.
- Formal qualification in chemistry, geology, or a related science discipline, or extensive experience in managing a busy laboratory.
