About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Worker to join our team at ALS Geochemistry in Orange, NSW. As a Laboratory Worker, you will be responsible for working safely in the laboratory environment, including chemical handling, weighing, fusion, and digestion of samples according to various methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing an understanding of laboratory practice and scientific processes
- Performing equipment checks and calibrations to ensure accuracy and precision of results
- Working in a team environment
- Exposure over time to more complex procedures and potential to progress to work involving instrumentation
Requirements
- A Cert IV or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or BSc will be highly regarded
- Laboratory experience preferred but not essential
- Ability to follow set procedures and attention to detail
- Have adequate numerical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Highly task-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously
