Regulatory Change Leader

We are seeking an experienced professional to steer our business through the ever-evolving landscape of regulatory and compliance changes. As a Regulatory Change Leader, you will play a pivotal role in informing and guiding internal planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay informed about new and changing legislation, government policy positions, and industry trends in the energy sectors.
  • Provide early intelligence and insights on proposed changes to influence strategic decisions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure business and advocacy positions align.
  • Conduct end-to-end assessments of regulatory impacts including risks, opportunities, and process or system changes required.
  • Translate regulatory obligations into actionable operational guidance tailored for different business units.
  • Develop high-quality reports and visual presentations for senior stakeholders to support decision-making.
  • Represent the organization at external regulatory or industry forums and working groups.
  • Maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations to anticipate developments.
  • Collaborate with various business teams and functions to ensure shared understanding and buy-in.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in regulatory change, compliance, legal, or risk within the energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of relevant regulations and regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading change in complex environments.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with ability to assess regulatory impact and prioritise compliance actions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior executives.
  • Proven experience influencing business leaders and managing competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks, risk management processes, and control design.
