About Our Team

Our Finance team is at the forefront of delivering comprehensive financial solutions and insights, supporting UAC's commitment to the higher education sector.

About the Role

As a true Head of Finance, you will lead the financial operations and provide crucial leadership to our team. People leadership skills are a huge component of this role.

You will utilise your strong management accounting background, and a solid understanding of statutory accounting, to drive strategic decision-making within UAC.

You will also take a hands-on approach, using your initiative and people skills to solve problems and manage a team, while applying a strong theoretical accounting background.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and mentoring of the finance team.
  • Providing management accounting expertise and overseeing financial reporting processes.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts.
  • Offering insights and analyses to stakeholders, advising on budget re-forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Using initiative and problem-solving skills to enhance financial systems.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in management accounting, with a focus on leadership.
  • Strong theoretical accounting knowledge and advanced Excel spreadsheeting skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
