About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team at Standards Australia. As a key member of our Executive Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in guiding our organisation through a pivotal phase of customer transformation and growth.

As Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial management and leadership to support our long-term strategic objectives and organisational sustainability. This will involve overseeing the company's financial operations, communicating the financial story of the organisation, and guiding resource allocation in line with the company's long-term strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the company's financial operations, including managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance.
  • Develop and implement best-practice financial policies and procedures.
  • Manage the organisation's investment fund, balancing growth with financial sustainability and risk.
  • Lead due diligence and financial analysis for future activities.
  • Develop and implement a framework for tracking and enhancing commercial performance.
  • Manage and oversee the company's financial systems.
  • Advise on market changes and provide strategic financial recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled financial leader who has a strong track record of success in executive leadership roles with commercial responsibilities. You will have a Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in Accounting, Business accounting, or Finance, and at least 5 years' experience in executive leadership roles with commercial responsibilities.

You will have strong commercial leadership qualities, integrity, and a clear sense of accountability. You will also have exceptional interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate and manage employees at all levels.
