Work Health and Safety Specialist

The Navy Aviation Systems Program Office (NASPO) is seeking a highly skilled Work Health and Safety Specialist to join their team. This role will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on work health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Defence policies.

  • Develop and implement work health and safety programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Contribute to the development of work health and safety management systems and provide training to staff on their implementation.

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate work health and safety risks.

  • Evaluate and improve work health and safety processes and procedures to ensure they are effective and compliant.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in work health and safety roles, preferably within the Defence sector.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.
