Job Summary

We are seeking a highly effective and Catholic leader to join our school leadership team as a Religious Education Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising teaching and learning in Religious Education and the religious dimension of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of the Catholic life of the school and contribute to the management of the school.
  • Coordinate and supervise teaching and learning in Religious Education and the religious dimension of the school.
  • Prepare and lead liturgies and celebrations.
  • Develop and implement Religious Education curriculum and programs.
  • Lead and manage a team of teachers and staff.
  • Collaborate with the priests and parish community to promote Catholic values and mission.
Requirements
  • Completed or studying towards a Graduate Diploma or Master of Religious Education, Theology or Theological Studies from an approved institution.
  • Meet the requirements of Category E as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach and Lead.
  • Demonstrate the standard descriptors at lead teacher level, in accordance with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
  • Postgraduate units of study in leadership (advantageous).
