Job Description

  • A nursing unit manager level 2 plays a pivotal leadership role in coordinating safe and efficient patient flow, enhancing quality of care across the service.

  • This candidate will be an experienced nursing leader with a strong background in NUM and team leadership, bringing expertise in workforce planning, patient flow, and effective resource management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day-to-day patient services, discharge management, and workforce rostering to ensure seamless care delivery.

  • Provide strong, values-based leadership to nursing teams, fostering a culture of clinical excellence and promoting evidence-based practice.

  • Champion safety and innovation in care delivery, balancing competing priorities while ensuring quality outcomes and positive patient experiences.

  • Manage resources effectively, monitor key performance indicators, and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


About You

  • Experienced nursing leader with a strong background in NUM and team leadership, possessing expertise in workforce planning, patient flow, and effective resource management.

  • Strong leadership skills, ability to foster a culture of clinical excellence, and provide guidance to nursing teams.

  • Ability to balance competing priorities, ensure quality outcomes, and manage resources effectively.
