Field Service Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to customer premises to carry out servicing, inspections, breakdown support and repairs to access equipment including elevating work platforms, lighting towers and telehandlers.

The role involves carrying out inspections, servicing and repairs of equipment with a focus on elevating work platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers. Providing superior customer service and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met within their given region is also a key responsibility.

You will be required to complete all appropriate paperwork and inspection forms required by policy, standards and customer requirements in a timely manner. Additionally, you will need to liaise with technical support including the interpretation of manuals where required.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical experience being advantageous. You must be able to effectively communicate both written and verbal, hold a drivers licence, and possess proficient language, literacy and numeracy skills.

Bonus points if you have trade qualifications in elevating work platform technology, heavy vehicle, diesel, automotive, auto electrical or related field. Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail, along with strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines are also desirable traits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cary out inspections, servicing and repairs of equipment.
  • Provide superior customer service and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Complete all appropriate paperwork and inspection forms.
  • Liaise with technical support.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Drivers licence.
