Job Title: Community Program Coordinator

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of community programs in a detention centre setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and conducting structured and unstructured programs, communicating with staff and detainees, and analysing needs to create specific programs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing community programs for detainees, including recreational, educational, life skills and leisure activities.
  • Communicating effectively with staff and detainees regarding program access.
  • Conducting needs analysis and creating programs tailored to detainee requirements.

About You:

  • Experience in developing and delivering structured and unstructured programs for adults.
  • Hold current certificates in CPR and First Aid (HLTAID009 and HLTAID011).
  • Maintain a valid Working with Children certificate.
  • Experience in an associated discipline, such as sports and recreation, social/community work and/or learning and development.
  • Ability to plan and resource programs appropriately.
  • Desirable: Teaching or Training experience, and experience teaching Music.
