We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and secure work environment for all staff, patients, and visitors
- Act as Emergency/Deputy Emergency Coordinator
- Monitor CCTV cameras, access control systems, and duress alarms
- Respond to emergency codes (Grey, Black)
- Adhere to a wide range of SOPs developed specifically for the role
Requirements:
- Current security/crowd control license (Level-2) inclusive of Control Room Operator
- A base knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook is desirable
- Sound knowledge of the Security Industry and/or other skills to introduce into the Security Department
- Knowledge of Law relating to Security Services
- Knowledge of what constitutes a public place (trespass) and Victorian Road Legislation (Issuing of Parking Infringements)
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
The Security Department operates 24/7, 365 days a year, and is responsible for providing a safe and secure work environment for all staff, patients, and visitors. As a Security Officer, you will join a strong and experienced professional group and be responsible for incorporating the values of the Sisters of Charity while performing security duties.
