Risk and Emergency Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our risk management practices, working closely with various operational areas to maintain and enhance the risk and control environment.

This role involves overseeing our Risk Management framework, conducting comprehensive risk assessments across the organisation, creating a uniform approach for risk management practices, and managing emergency plans in accordance with legislation and best practice.

To thrive in this position, you will need:

  • Qualifications in Risk Management, Emergency management or related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience in risk or emergency management.
  • Demonstrated training, knowledge, and experience in emergency and/or risk management.
  • Proven experience undertaking thorough risk assessment processes, identifying, and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Experience conducting audits and inspections to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations.
  • Knowledge and experience with safety management systems and related technology.

In addition to these requirements, we would appreciate applicants with experience in local government and knowledge of safety management systems.
