About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welding Supervisor to join our team at BAE Systems Australia. As a key member of our Hunter Class Frigate Program, you will be responsible for supervising welding activities and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise welding tradespeople and operators to ensure performance, quality, and technical standards are maintained.
  • Develop and implement welding plans, manuals, and procedures to ensure compliance with engineering design, stress analysis, and equipment specifications.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of defective welds and develop repair strategies.
  • Manage and maintain work orders in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Management System.
Requirements
  • International Welding Specialist (IWS) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in supervising large complex engineering and construction projects.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Eligibility for International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations.
