Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join our team at Ready Resources. As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fixed plant and other equipment. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all work is carried out safely and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of fixed plant and other equipment
  • Read drawings, work orders, and production schedules to determine product or job instructions and specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal using gas shielded metal arc
  • Examine work for defects and measure with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
  • Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials or products and notify supervisors
  • Accept responsibility for the day-to-day activities required and undertaken at the work site
  • Ensure that appropriate maintenance methods and standards are applied while carrying out maintenance functions
  • Ensure that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times
  • Liaise with a Supervisor regarding machine breakdowns, day-to-day maintenance of machinery, and machine safety and guarding
  • Ensure that all work to be carried out has been approved through a purchase order
  • Correctly complete daily and weekly timesheets clearly indicating job numbers and purchase order numbers

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience post trade
  • Australian Trade certificate is needed
  • Australian C class driver's license
