About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead and teach across four Victorian campuses, fostering faith and spirituality in students, families, and staff.

This role will support relevant staff to gain accreditation to teach in a Catholic school environment, collaborating closely with Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing curriculum and resources to deepen students' knowledge of the Catholic tradition, including MacKillop's founders, and nurturing a safe, respectful, and inclusive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement educational programs to promote students' understanding of the Catholic tradition.
  • Foster staff development through dialogue, professional learning, and reflection, deepening their knowledge and understanding of the Catholic tradition.
  • Develop and deliver an incursion and excursion program to deepen student and staff knowledge of other world religions.

Selection Criteria:

  • A minimum of a four-year teaching qualification or equivalent and eligibility for Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
  • A qualification in theology or spirituality and/or significant experience teaching in this field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as awareness of current issues affecting Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
  • A commitment to the values and objectives of the organization and ability to represent the organization effectively.
