Treasury Regulatory Reporting Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Banking and Financial Services Treasury Regulatory Reporting team in Sydney.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the production of periodic balance sheet and statistical regulatory returns for APRA, RBA, and ABS. Working closely with key business stakeholders, other treasury and finance control teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

About the Position

As a Senior Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing balance sheet and statistical reports for external regulators
  • Maintaining up-to-date documentation to support annual regulatory audits
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation

You will engage with internal stakeholders, analyze data to drive decision-making, and participate in process improvements to ensure adherence to control standards and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • Previous experience in financial services or investment banking, preferably with knowledge of regulatory reporting, data, accounting, and regulatory reporting systems and processes
  • Technical accounting and regulatory knowledge, including AASs and APRA reporting standards
  • Proficiency in systems such as Fusion ledger and Axiom, and excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A tertiary degree in Business or Commerce
  • A professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA is desirable
