Job Summary

KP Snacks is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for performing general repair and maintenance work, with a focus on electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete statutory servicing and inspections, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and documentation.
  • Act as Deputy Responsible Person for Electrical, Legionella, and Fire Systems, ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and facilities.
  • Perform electrical installations, breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance, as well as building repairs and maintenance, including joinery and plumbing tasks.
  • Conduct daily boiler and CHP checks and maintenance, as well as LOLOR lift checks and maintenance.
  • Perform Legionella checks, maintenance, and repairs, as well as daily effluent plant checks and maintenance.
  • Conduct daily air compressors checks and maintenance, as well as general installations, breakdowns, and site maintenance.
  • Support the day-to-day engineering function, working collaboratively with the manufacturing team.
  • Conduct sprinkler system checks and maintenance, and support the implementation of IWS (Intersnack Working System).
  • Support preparation for technical audits for food safety, health, and environment.
  • Perform various site maintenance tasks, including site security, CCTV, fire alarms, and perimeter fences.

Requirements

  • Apprenticeship qualified or proven trade background.
  • C&G Level 3 - BS2365.
  • BS th edition.
  • BS2391 - Inspection & testing.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations and convert measurements.
  • Strong organisational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to communicate effectively.
  • Friendly with good interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable experience as a qualified Electrical engineer.
  • Multi-skilled in other trades.
