New World Consulting is seeking a dynamic and driven Electrical Maintenance Team Leader to oversee maintenance operations within a cutting-edge automated warehousing environment.
Position Overview
As the Electrical Maintenance Team Leader, you will report directly to the Site Manager and play a pivotal role in providing hands-on technical leadership and support to the maintenance team and client.
This position operates on a 24/6 schedule, with Sundays designated for Preventative Maintenance, where additional resources will be allocated to ensure comprehensive task completion.
- Work schedule includes Monday to Friday with a rotating roster of day shifts (6am to 2:30pm) and afternoon shifts (2pm to 10:30pm), alternating weekly.
- Overtime opportunities available: 1.5x for the first three hours, 2.0x thereafter, and 2.0x on Sundays, with occasional shift coverage required.
- One Sunday shift per month, with the option to take a day off in lieu immediately.
- Supervise a team of two technicians (electrician and fitter) during shifts.
- Allocate approximately 60% of your time to hands-on maintenance and 40% to planned preventative maintenance, utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Manage stock and inventory effectively.
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point on-site.
- Adopt an 'influencer' leadership approach to foster team collaboration.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with a demanding client.
- Implement a '5Y analysis' methodology to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Inspire, coach, and motivate the team to achieve preventative maintenance objectives and overall site upkeep.
- Possession of an Electrical Trade Certificate (Fitter trade certification is also acceptable).
- Post-trade certification in Pneumatics & Hydraulics is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance software.
- Experience with automated warehouse machinery is desirable.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while adhering to established procedures.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Proficient in fault finding and diagnosis within mechatronic systems.
- Customer-focused approach to service delivery.
