Child Protection Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people in NSW.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading complex investigations and disciplinary complaints, ensuring that outcomes are optimised and risks to children are appropriately managed.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate collaboration, information exchange, and timely responses to child protection matters.
  • Manage highly confidential and sensitive matters to ensure that employees are treated fairly and investigations are rigorous.
  • Lead and support investigations and disciplinary complaints to achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as planning, organisational, and negotiation abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience working at a senior or executive level in a complex organisation, delivering specialist advice to executive leadership.

About the Role:

The Child Protection Manager will play a critical role in shaping the future of the Office of the Children's Guardian. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the NSW child protection system, the Reportable Conduct Scheme, and best investigative practice.
