Cross Dock Operations Manager

About the Role:
Linfox Intermodal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cross Dock Supervisor to join their team in Acacia Ridge QLD. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods through the Cross Dock operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to Cross Dock teams to ensure accurate and timely loading, transportation, and delivery of goods.
- Coordinate effective communication between subcontractors, customers, and Linfox operations to meet supply chain requirements.
- Assist with various operational functions, including allocating tasks, managing subcontractors, and providing customer service.
- Develop and maintain operational and commercial metrics, ensuring alignment with company goals and KPIs.
- Meet agreed KPIs, including service performance and cost management within budget and contract expectations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in interstate transport operations or a combination of road transport and related industry knowledge.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills, with a focus on prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to maintain solid customer relationships through regular communication and a customer-centric approach.
- Organized and systematic approach to work, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility and Heavy Vehicle regulations & Load Restraint.
