Geological Data Specialist



About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Geological Data Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical presales group, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact technical demonstrations, supporting tenders, and ensuring customer success during onboarding and implementation.

This is a strategic, customer-facing role that will give you the opportunity to work with industry-leading technology and influence how our clients explore and model their geological data.


Your Responsibilities:
  1. Partner with business development managers to identify, develop, and close opportunities.
  2. Deliver technical demonstrations and input into proposals and tenders.
  3. Lead software evaluations and proof-of-concept builds.
  4. Support customer success during implementation and training.
  5. Assist with campaign events, conferences, and promotions.
  6. Contribute to product development through feedback and regional testing.

About You:

You are a passionate geologist with a technical background and a drive to deliver value to customers. You're confident presenting technical solutions and enjoy helping others solve geological problems.

Your experience and attributes should include:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in earth sciences.
  • A few years of experience in an exploration setting.
  • Exposure to geological data systems.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A passion for technology and continuous improvement.
  • Pre-sales or technical consulting experience is highly desirable.
