Geological Data Quality Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Geological Data Quality Specialist to join our Resource Definition team. This role will be critical in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and integrity of assay data for Hematite and Magnetite drilling programs.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and analyse QAQC performance daily to ensure assay data meets internal quality thresholds.
- Identify and investigate data quality issues, escalating and resolving where required.
- Coordinate with on-site geology teams and drilling contractors to ensure correct sample handling and QAQC sample insertion.
- Liaise with laboratory service providers to track turnaround times and manage resubmissions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, experience with QAQC and RC drilling data in iron ore or similar commodities, and the ability to interpret assay data to identify and correct anomalies.
Requirements- Degree in Geology, Geoscience, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in QAQC-focused roles within mining, exploration, or assay laboratory environments.
- Strong understanding of QAQC principles: precision, accuracy, contamination, and bias.
- Experience with assay data types and iron ore mineralisation styles (hematite and/or magnetite).
