Key Role in Financial Reporting and Compliance

As an Accountant, you will play a critical role in preparing monthly financial reports, analyzing variances, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise in payroll accounting, bookkeeping, and reconciliations will be essential in supporting the team lead and contributing to the company's growth.

  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including analysis and commentary on variances.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
  • Work on payroll accounting for a complex organization, adhering to relevant accounting standards.
  • Execute transactions such as bookkeeping, reconciliations, and settlements, general ledger control and checks, ad hoc issue resolutions etc.
  • Support the team lead in training, daily reviews, and escalation resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in BPO/Shared Service; with 18-24 months of recent working knowledge on Management Accounting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
  • Good knowledge of financial statements preparation and Australian Accounting Standards (AAS).
  • Sound knowledge of Procure to Pay, Order to Cash & Record to Report processes, Invoice processing (AP&AR), Cash Apps, Payment processing, Vendor Master Data Management, month close activities.

  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Culturally appropriate communication skills to interact with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Hands-on experience in MS Office and ERP systems like SAP/Oracle.
