Explosives and Blasting Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Explosives and Blasting Operations Specialist to join our team. In this challenging role, you will be responsible for loading blast holes with explosives and stemming material as per design specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in blasting operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load blast holes with explosives and stemming material as per design specifications
  • Set up and maintain exclusion zones and signage to ensure site safety during blasting activities
  • Support the Shotfirer with charging operations and tie-in procedures
  • Conduct pre- and post-blast inspections to ensure site compliance and safety
  • Follow all site-specific and statutory safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
  • Shotfirers licence (advantageous)
  • Dangerous Goods Security Card
  • Current Manual Drivers Licence
  • Experience with Electronics
