Multiple MPU Operator Positions Available

Work Location: Various Western Australian locations

Roster:8D:6R FIFO ex Perth (8/6)

Goldfields Explosives is seeking enthusiastic and hardworking MPU Operator's to join our experienced Drill & Blast team The successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate behaviour that aligns with Goldfields Explosives values, comply with safety and health principles on a daily basis and perform all duties as directed by the Drill & Blast supervisory team.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Carrying out work instructions as directed by Drill and Blast Supervisor & Operations Manager
  • Work closely with the High-performance blasting teams Loading/Unloading MPU's/Road trains
  • Perform daily inspections of plant and equipment
  • Support and actively participate in delivery of the Goldfields Explosives Policies, Procedures and Safe Systems of Work
  • Operate ancillary equipment (stemming loader etc) in accordance with Goldfields Explosives Policies and Procedures
  • Work together with the entire Drill & Blast team to meet daily operational targets

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Experience working in similar role is essential for experienced MPU Operator
  • Good communication skills
  • Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
  • Dangerous Good Drivers Licence (DGDL)
  • Australian Drivers Licence (Unrestricted HR Licence essential)
  • Must be Perth/Western Australian based
  • Willing to work in a hot, humid and dusty environment
  • Ancillary equipment operation in mining industry desirable
  • Proven Experience working within large scale mining operation
  • Safety focused
  • Team Player
  • Can do attitude is a must

Successful applicants will be required to undertake and pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical and provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance.
