Job Title: Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at Hazelmere site.

  • The selected candidate will be responsible for sampling and testing asphalt, aggregates and bitumen including onsite sampling.
  • They must have the ability to manage sampling and testing in accordance with specified requirements.
  • The role requires handling and management of chemicals in line with relevant standards.
  • The candidate should also have experience in managing reporting, record keeping and calibrations including reporting non-conforming product.
  • A strong focus on conducting procedures safely and maintaining good housekeeping of laboratory and surrounds is essential.
  • Providing technical support to production departments and maintaining the laboratory in accordance with NATA requirements is a key aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities:

Sampling and testing of materials including asphalt, aggregates and bitumen.

Management of reporting, record keeping and calibrations.

Handling and management of chemicals in line with relevant standards.

Conducting procedures safely and maintaining good housekeeping.

Providing technical support to production departments.

Maintaining the laboratory in accordance with NATA requirements.

Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in a related field.
  • Experience in laboratory testing and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
