Emergency Response Specialist

As a member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for providing fire and rescue services to the community. You will work closely with other team members to respond to emergencies, conduct training exercises, and maintain equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Australian Permanent Resident Status
- Manual C Class driver's licence
- Ability to attend incidents and emergencies
It is expected that all auxiliary firefighters will commit to the following:
- Attending incident and emergency calls – 50% of calls as a day worker with routine hours; or 30% of calls as a shift worker or have non-routine hours
- Attending 75% of regular drill and training sessions
- Obtaining an MRV licence, at their own expense, within 12 months of employment
- Participating in ongoing skills acquisition and maintenance programs, including first aid/emergency care
- Complying with policies and procedures including code of conduct, safety and personal presentation standards
This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the community while developing your skills and experience in emergency response.
Key Accountabilities- Respond to fire and other emergency incidents
- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness
- Develop and maintain competencies through training and drills
- Maintain required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
- Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively
