Occupational Health and Safety professionals play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of employees in the workplace. As a Health and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for supporting early, safe, and sustainable return to work initiatives.

About the Role:
  • You will act as the first point of contact for stakeholders, providing guidance on injury investigation and claims management processes.
  • Manage a caseload of injury matters end to end, from initial reporting to successful resolution.
  • Support with claims lodgement and monitoring progress, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee health and develop work rehabilitation and return to work programs, including suitable duties plans.
  • Engage Medical, Rehabilitation and Allied Health Professionals to provide expert advice and support.
  • Interpret and apply relevant legislation relating to WorkCover claims and processes, ensuring compliance.
  • Contribute to identifying risk reduction strategies and implementing measures to prevent future incidents.

The ideal candidate will possess qualifications in Injury Management/Insurance/Workers Compensation or an Allied Health Profession. You will bring demonstrated experience working in injury management and facilitating safe and sustainable return to work programs.
