Leadership Role in Maternity Services

This is a leadership role within our maternity services, incorporating maternity care, paediatric elective surgery, and general surgery with a strong focus on women's health.

You will provide operational and clinical leadership to ensure exceptional patient care and safe service delivery, while driving efficiency and fostering a positive team culture.

The successful candidate will lead a diverse department with a team of professionals and will be responsible for promoting excellence in patient-centred care, overseeing clinical risk management, and participating in accreditation processes.

About the Role
  • Clinical Leadership: Promote excellence in patient-centred care, oversee clinical risk management and participate in accreditation processes.
  • Administrative Management: Oversee financial, human, and equipment resources within the unit and maintain workforce profiles.
  • Strategic & Team Development: Lead with integrity, promote a collaborative work culture, and contribute to service planning to maintain care standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife (essential)
  • Tertiary qualification in Midwifery
  • Demonstrated experience across all midwifery domains
  • Previous leadership and management experience
  • Strong interpersonal, team leadership, and change management skills
  • Permanent residency or Australian citizenship
