About Our Aboriginal Health Worker Position

Our team is seeking a dedicated and passionate Aboriginal Health Worker to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering primary health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This role is crucial in responding to the physical, emotional, cultural, and environmental needs of individuals and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality primary health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance consumer care and outcomes
  • Communicate sensitively and interact effectively with Aboriginal people
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and participate in continuous professional development
  • Hold a valid driver's license and be willing to travel as required

Requirements for Success:

  • Hold or aspire to hold a minimum Certificate III qualification in Aboriginal Primary Health Care or a related field
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the local Aboriginal community and its needs
  • Be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Possess a current unrestricted driver's license
