Role Description

The Mind Room is seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychologist or Mental Health Care Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will have the opportunity to deliver evidence-based care to individuals and couples, while also contributing to the growth and development of our practice.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in private practice settings, with a strong commitment to client-centered care and reflective team practice. They will be skilled in third-wave CBT approaches, such as ACT, CBT, and CFT, and will have a passion for delivering high-quality care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our senior clinicians and contribute to the development of our clinical team. You will also have access to regular supervision and professional development opportunities, tailored to your career stage and interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based care to individuals and couples, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our practice, through participation in peer supervision, learning forums, and reflective practice
  • Work collaboratively with our senior clinicians to develop and implement new programs and services
  • Participate in regular supervision and professional development opportunities, tailored to your career stage and interests
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • AHPRA registration as a Psychologist (general or endorsed), or AASW accreditation as a Mental Health Social Worker
  • At least three years of clinical experience, including experience in private practice settings
  • Familiarity with third-wave CBT approaches, such as ACT, CBT, and CFT
  • Interest in reflective team practice and shared learning
  • Commitment to inclusive and client-centered care
  • Medicare registration and the right to work in Australia
