Job Title: Senior Clinical PractitionerAbout the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Day Oncology and Infusion Services team. As a Senior Clinical Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and a willingness to undertake further studies or pursue other self-development activities. They will be proficient in email software and electronic communication, and possess excellent team member skills with a dedication to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

  • Nursing Assessment and Management: High levels of nursing assessment and management of acute settings within a rapidly changing environment
  • Effective Communication: Effective communication skills with patients, families, and allied health professionals
  • Cytotoxic Regimens: Understanding cytotoxic regimens and their treatment plans,
  • Chemotherapy Administration: Administration of chemotherapy, orally and intravenously
  • CVAD Management: Confidently applying CVAD management, and cannulation

As a Senior Clinical Practitioner, your primary responsibility will be to take full ownership of planning and delivering nursing care to patients. You will make decisions regarding patient care and patient management, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Additionally, you will act as a preceptor for new staff, students, and trainees, participate in annual performance appraisals, and contribute to goal setting.
