The Communication Systems Lead is pivotal in shaping the future of air defence by overseeing the integration of next-generation system upgrades across RAAF sites nationwide.
This role provides technical expertise for the implementation and integration of modernised communication systems that will revolutionise military air traffic control communications.
- Supports the technical integration of advanced communication systems with existing ADATS infrastructure, coordinating between multiple vendors and internal teams.
- Develops and executes site-specific installation strategies across multiple RAAF bases, ensuring minimal operational impact during transitions.
- Guides the technical aspects of security accreditation and certification processes.
As a key partner in defence aviation, this major capability upgrade to the Australian Defence Air Traffic System (ADATS) presents an exciting opportunity.
Essential Skills and Qualifications- University Degree in Engineering with demonstrated expertise in communications systems or similar technical field.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in technical roles, including system integration, technical specification development, and complex system implementations.
- Proven experience producing engineering cost estimates and managing technical documentation.
- Experience with Air Traffic Control or Defence systems.
- Knowledge of communication systems and network integration principles.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A BASELINE SECURITY CLEARANCE AS NEEDED.
