We are seeking an experienced Energy Infrastructure Solutions Specialist to join our team at XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing and implementing technology solutions for the utility industry.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and implementing technology solutions for the utility industry. They will also possess a strong understanding of utility operations, including generation, transmission, distribution, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing business needs and translating them into technical requirements for energy infrastructure solutions.
  • Designing and architecting comprehensive solutions that integrate various technologies, including grid modernization, renewable energy integration, smart grid technologies, and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI).
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, functional specifications, and user stories.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams, product managers, and vendors to ensure successful implementation and integration of solutions.
  • Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Evaluating and recommending new technologies and solutions to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and security of energy operations.
  • Presenting technical solutions to stakeholders, including senior management, and effectively communicating the benefits and impact of proposed solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and implementing technology solutions for the utility industry.
  • Strong understanding of utility operations, including generation, transmission, distribution, and customer service.
  • In-depth knowledge of grid modernization technologies, renewable energy integration, smart grid technologies, and AMI.
  • Proficiency in system architecture, design patterns, and software development methodologies.
  • Experience with project management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

We offer a competitive salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits.
