Nepean Private Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse or Midwife for their Special Care Nursery on a Full-Time , or Part-Time basis with a competitive salary and benefits package available to successful candidates.

Our Women's Health Unit encompasses antenatal, postnatal, intrapartum care, gynaecology, and a level 2 special care nursery. As a Registered Nurse/Midwife in Special Care Nursery, your responsibilities will be to:

·To provide quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient and newborn care.

·To provide a standard of care according to the individual's level of experience and education, maintaining high-quality nursing care within a safe environment.

·To develop and utilize strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication.

·To work in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding the provision of care, promoting beneficial relationships.

·When required, working on other wards in the Hospital.

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following:

·Current registration with AHPRA

·Clinical skills and motivation to ensure excellence in patient care and customer service

·A minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in Neonatal Intensive Care or Special Care Nursery/Newborn Postnatal care.

·Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

·Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills

·Excellent communication and customer service skills

·Works well independently and within a team
